This handmade cherry dining chair has a deeply saddled seat for comfort and durability. The graceful curved and tapered front legs are joined to the seat with a robust concealed bridle joint. The legs are joined with brushed aluminum stretchers pinned to the back legs and front stretcher with exposed brass pins. Pieces of Bocote wood join the solid aluminum stretchers at the legs, and provide a wear surface on the top of the front stretcher. The back slats match the curve of the back and flex for comfort in use, and are laminated for strength. The face veneer of the back slats can be customized with a wide variety of beautiful woods, (fiddle-back maple shown). The arm post of the arm chair is joined to the seat in an unusual but strong, sliding tapered dovetail. Also available with arms. Cherry wood shown, available in other woods.
