Liz Sabo

I am inspired by everyday life. I create handcrafted, fabric bags that blend function and beauty to make a distinctive statement. Each bag is made with the highest quality materials, is fully lined, and crafted with careful details.
I am inspired by color. I have always been drawn to bold, vibrant color, especially when it is found in unexpected moments. I love when bright color and graphic patterns light up a customer’s face. With each bag I sew, I seek to tell the story of joyful handmade.
Each day someone new is falling in love with handmade. As a small batch designer, Liz believes in the power of a well-crafted, American-made item to move makers and customers alike. Each one of Liz’s fabric bags is handcrafted from start to finish by her. She screen prints, irons, cuts, and sews every bag in her studio.

Liz first realized the joy of independent design when she lived in Florence, Italy. There she was captivated by the small shops that dotted the city, and by the dedicated artists who ran them. In 2007 she lived and taught in Vietnam. Traveling throughout the city, she experienced a wide variety of tailor shops and fabric markets. From Florence to Vietnam and the many places in between, Liz’s self-taught journey into fashion and accessory design had begun. Liz designs, screen prints and handsews her bags in her Ohio studio.
